Upcoming Marvel “Nova” Project Rumored To Be A Disney+ Series
Earlier this year, it was reported that Marvel Studios was developing a live-action project featuring Nova, but it wasn’t known if it would be a feature film or a Disney+ series.
But now, some new details have potentially been revealed by Daniel Richtman, who is stating that this project will be a Disney+ series.
The project has brought in “Moon Knight” screenwriters Sabir Pirzada to write the screenplay for the project.
Currently, Disney hasn’t yet confirmed a “Nova” project is currently in development, so this still needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. Hopefully, with San Diego Comic-Con and D23 Expo taking place this summer, Disney will confirm some of the new projects in development.
In the comic book, Richard Rider, who was randomly chosen to become a member of the Nova Corps until the Annihilation Wave destroyed them all, leaving him imbued with their combined power and guided by the super-intelligent Worldmind computer, Richard Rider wages a one-man battle for justice as Nova.
Marvel has already begun setting the early seeds for the introduction of Nova into the MCU, as in the first “Guardians of the Galaxy” film, the team joined together with the Nova Corps to battle the Kree on the planet of Xandar. And in “Infinity War” we learned that Xandar was destroyed, which may set up Richard Rider to become “Nova” in the MCU.
Are you looking forward to seeing “Nova” on Disney+?
