Ty Byrrell To Star In New ABC Pilot “Forgive And Forget”
20th Television is developing a new pilot called “Forgive And Forget” for ABC. This multicamera comedy project is coming from Eugene Garcia-Cross and Robin Shorr, who previously worked on “Punky Brewster” together. The duo has also worked with Disney on many projects. Eugene previously worked on the Disney+ Original series “The Santa Clauses”, and Robin also worked on the Disney+ Original “Diary Of A Future President”.
The new pilot will star Ty Byrrell, who has previously starred in the smash-hit series, “Modern Family”.
“Forgive And Forget” follows the perennial life of the party Hank (Burrell). After an unexpected diagnosis, Hank reconnects with his responsible adult son Ben in hopes of making new memories together.
The upcoming pilot will be written by Eugene Garcia-Cross and Robin Shorr, with Robin also working as the showrunner on the project. They will be executive producers alongside Ty Byrrell, who is producing via his Desert Whale Productions banner.
According to Deadline, this story has been inspired by Eugene Garcia-Cross’s experiences looking after one of his parents with Alzheimer’s, and their hopes are that the show will help destigmatize this disease that impacts millions of people.
Should this pilot get the go-ahead to a full season, we should expect to see it released on ABC and Hulu/Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and as a Star Original on Disney+ around the world.
