“Twas’ the Night” Musical In Development For Disney+
Disney is developing a new musical anthology series called “Twas’ the Night” with David E. Tabert, for Disney+.
According to Deadline, the Christmas musical is being executive produced by Becky Hartman Edwards, who has previously worked on “Firefly Lane”. David E. Tabert will also be writing the project and executive producing along with his wife and producing partner Lyn Sisson-Talbert through their Golden Alchemy Entertainment. The duo have previously worked on the Netflix film, “Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey”.
In “Twas’ the Night”, Santa Claus, now retired to civilian life, indulges his grandchildren in their favorite family tradition, sharing stories of his magical adventures. Only this year, they’re not interested in the ones with happy endings. This year, they insist he tell them about that One Night, that one fabled night, where everything went wrong. And the One Family who made it right.
No other details on the upcoming project have been revealed, such as when it might arrive on the streaming platform, but hopefully, we will get some more details soon.
This new Christmas series will build on the collection of original festive content, such as “The Santa Clauses”, “Noelle”, and “The Guardians Of The Galaxy: Holiday Special”.
