20th Television is developing a new single-camera comedy series called “Overtime”, which is about a celebrated NBA star who retires and returns home to play positions he’s managed to avoid throughout his 12-year career: father, husband, neighbour, friend. He’s been pampered his entire adult life, and followed the perfect game plan to great success. Now, away from the spotlight and left to his own devices, he’s facing his toughest opponent yet … himself.

According to Deadline, Warren Littlefield (The Handmaid’s Tale, Fargo) executive producing and Courtney Lilly (Black-ish, Grown-ish) are in negotiations to executive produce the show.

The new series is being created by David E. Talbert, who has previously created “Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey” and will be executive produced by Ann Johnson, Graham Littlefield and Lisa Harrison.

ABC has picked up this new series, so we should expect to see it released on the ABC channel and Hulu in the United States, in addition to being released as a Star Original on Disney+ around the world.
