“Toy Story 5” Details Revealed At D23
As part of the Disney Entertainment Showcase panel at the D23: Ultimate Fan Event, Disney revealed some new details on the next installment in the “Toy Story”.
The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5,” and this time around, it’s Toy meets Tech. Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs get exponentially harder when they go head to head with this all-new threat to playtime.
It was explained that Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the gang have to deal with Bonny being constantly distracted by a tablet, which I’m sure many parents will be able to resonate with.
The upcoming movie is going to be directed by Andrew Stanton, who previously directed “Wall-E” and “Finding Nemo”. He has also worked in other roles of the previous “Toy Story” movies. The film will also be co-directed by McKenna Harris, who has previously directed the “Luca” short, “Ciao Alberto”. It will also be produced by Jessica Choi.
“Toy Story 5” will be coming to cinemas on June 19th, 2026 and as with other movies, we should expect to see it available on Disney+ later in 2026. The previous movies and specials are also available to stream now on Disney+.
