Since Disney+ first launched, every July it has added shark documentaries as part of its Sharkfest series. Some of these documentaries have been great while others have been less than exciting, although all have been informative and educational. If you are looking for a good shark documentary to watch, here are five from previous years still on Disney+ that I recommend to watch.

1. SKY SHARKS

Drones are revealing that some sharks live closer to our shores than we might like to imagine. It’s time to check who’s swimming behind you.

2. SHARKATRAZ

The worst of the worst, the toughest of the tough were all sent to The Rock. And they all wanted to escape. But their biggest obstacle wasn’t the walls, the bars, the razor wire, or the guards – It was the sharks. And the guards made sure all the prisoners knew it. That’s why they call it SHARKATRAZ. We’ll investigate the frightening shark myth the guards used to prevent escapes.

3. COUNTING JAWS

As the number of shark encounters off the coast of California begins to skyrocket, a team of researchers embark on a mission to investigate why.

4. JAWS VS. BOATS

Viral videos of sharks attacking boats abound. Dr. Mike Heithaus and PH.D. candidate Sara Casareto investigate what’s causing this clash.

5. RAGING BULL SHARK

Bull sharks are going head to head with the more fearsome great white and tiger sharks to prove they’re the new champion of the chomp.
