With the start of a brand new month, we take a look at what were the most popular movies globally on Disney+ in June 2023, which is tracked daily on the trending list and considers how popular a film is and how long it has been popular on Disney+. This means that films released earlier in the year will tend to perform better on this chart.

Here are the most popular films on Disney+ globally in June 2023:

1) Avatar: The Way Of Water

Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, learn the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure. The biggest new release of the month was a instant hit on Disney+.


2) Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania

Ant-Man and the Wasp find themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that pushes them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.


3) Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Miles Morales is juggling his life between being a high school student and being a spider-man. When Wilson Kingpin Fisk uses a super collider, others from across the Spider-Verse are transported to this dimension. With the release of the “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” in cinemas, fans have been checking out the first film in the trilogy on mass.


4) Moana

In Ancient Polynesia, when a terrible curse incurred by Maui reaches an impetuous Chieftain’s daughter’s island, she answers the Ocean’s call to seek out the demigod to set things right.  “Moana” has been an extremely popular film since Disney+ debuted.


5) Avatar

In the 22nd century, a paraplegic Marine is dispatched to the moon Pandora on a unique mission, but becomes torn between following orders and protecting an alien civilization. With the arrival of the lastest installment in the franchise, fans have been catching up on the original film.


6) Coco

Despite his family’s generations-old ban on music, young Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead. After meeting a charming trickster named Héctor, the two new friends embark on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.


7) The Little Mermaid

Ursula, the sea witch, makes a devious deal with Princess Ariel allowing her to meet Eric, the human prince she loves. Unaware of her true intentions, Ariel lands herself in trouble.

With the new live-action version topping the box office, fans of the original have been going back to rewatch the original.


8) Raiders Of The Lost

When Dr. Indiana Jones – the tweed-suited professor who just happens to be a celebrated archaeologist – is hired by the government to locate the legendary Ark of the Covenant, he finds himself up against the entire Nazi regime. With the new film, “Dial Of Destiny” arriving in cinemas this weekend, all four films from the franchise were added to Disney+ at the end of May, with fans, much like with many other titles this month, have been going back and doing their rewatches!


9) Ratatouille

In one of Paris finest restaurants, Remy, a determined young rat, dreams of becoming a renowned French chef. Torn between his familys wishes and his true calling. Remy and his pal Linguini set in motion a hilarious chain of events that turns the City of Lights upside down.


10) Turning Red

Turning Red focuses on Meilin “Mei” Lee, a girl whose ancestors had an ongoing mystical connection to red pandas. Set in early 2000s Toronto, Mei is a confident student who struggles to juggle her familial duties while embracing her true nature. To make matters more complicated, Mei magically turns into an enormous red panda whenever she gets excited or overwhelmed.
