With the start of a brand new month, unfortunately, this means that due to contracts made by 20th Century Fox before Disney purchased the company, some titles are temporarily removed from Disney+ in the United States.

Disney has kicked off July by removing “Because Of Winn-Dixie” from Disney+ in the United States, and it has now been moved over to Max. The film will be available on Max for a limited period of time, before it eventually moves back to Disney+, but unfortunately, we don’t know exactly when this will be.

Based on the perennial best seller, “Because Of Winn-Dixie” tells the story of a lonely young girl, who was abandoned by her mother when she was three, moves to a small town in Florida with her father. There, she adopts an orphaned dog she names Winn-Dixie. The bond between the girl and her special companion brings together the people in a small Florida town and heals her own troubled relationship with her father.

The good news for fans of the movie outside of the US is that the film is still available on Disney+, because this contract with Warner Brothers Discovery only impacts US films.

Unfortunately, unlike most other streaming services, Disney+ doesn’t inform subscribers in advance when a title is going to be removed.
