“The Simpsons: The Past And The Furious” Coming Soon To Disney+
Disney has announced a brand-new episode of “The Simpsons” will be coming exclusively to Disney+ on February 12th 2025.
The upcoming episode is called “The Past and the Furious”, and it is the next exclusive episode of “The Simpsons” debuting on Disney+, following the last one dropping for the holidays late last year.
In this exclusive full-length episode of The Simpsons, Lisa travels back in time to 1923 and discovers that the Springfield Mini Moose, once key to the town’s ecosystem, were driven to extinction in 1925. Teaming up with young Monty Burns, Lisa works to save the moose, but her actions unintentionally shape his future as a ruthless tycoon.

In addition to 35 seasons of “The Simpsons,” Disney+ is also home to “The Simpsons Movie” and more than 10 shorts featuring the Simpsons family. All these and more can be found in “The Simpsons” collection, which can be located in the All Collections section on the Search tab within Disney+.
“The Simpsons” is a Gracie Films Production in Association with 20th Television Animation. Created by Matt Groening, Developed by James L. Brooks, Matt Groening and Sam Simon. The Simpsons Executive Producers are James L. Brooks, Matt Groening, Matt Selman and Al Jean.
Roger’s Take: Without a doubt, one of the core franchises from the purchase of 20th Century Fox was “The Simpsons”, which has become one of the most-watched shows on Disney+ since it launched. In many countries around the world, new episodes of “The Simpsons” are now exclusive to Disney+ following many long-standing deals that are coming to an end.
It’s interesting to see Disney starting to shift the show slowly over to Disney+ in the United States as while it began with shorts; now it seems some deal or contract loophole is allowing Disney to make full episodes of “The Simpsons” in the US too, which I think is a great move forward. I do think if FOX decided not to renew its contract for “The Simpsons”, the franchise would live on Disney+, but maybe this shift to random special episodes might be the way forward after so many seasons to keep it fresh.
