Following the massive success of the “Pirates Of The Caribbean” and “Jungle Cruise”, Walt Disney Studios has announced that the upcoming live-action film, based on the classic Disney theme park attraction, “The Haunted Mansion”, will be coming to cinemas on March 10th, 2023.

No plot details have yet been revealed, but the film follows a mother and her son who come across a mansion that is more than it seems while being orbited by various characters key to undressing the spooky mystery.

“The Haunted Mansion” will star Owen Wilson, Rosario Dawson, Danny DeVito and LaKeith Stanfield.

The film will be directed by Justin Simien, who has previously directed “Bad Hair” and “Dear White People”. With “Aladdin” producers, Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, producing the film, along with Nick Reynolds. Katie Dippold has written the script for the film.

Disney has previously released a live-action film based on the attraction before and starred Eddie Murphy, which is available on Disney+. Also, most recently, “The Muppets” took a trip to the Haunted Mansion for a Disney+ special.

It wasn’t known until now, if “The Haunted Mansion” was going to be a theatrical release or if it was going to be a Disney+ Original, but now it’s been confirmed.

As with all new Disney films, we should expect to see this new film arrive on Disney+ following its theatrical release.
