“The Handmaid’s Tale’ Final Season Begins Production
Disney has announced that the sixth and final season of “The Handmaid’s Tale’ has now gone into production and will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in spring 2025.
Adapted from the classic novel by Margaret Atwood, “The Handmaid’s Tale” is the story of life in the dustopia of Gilead, a totalitarian societu in what was formerly the United States. Offred (Elisabeth Moss), one of the few fertile women known as Handmaids in the oppressive Republic of Gilead, struggles to survive as a reproductive surrogate for a powerful Commander and his resentful wife.

The sixth season also stars Yvonne Strahovski, Bradley Whitford, Max Minghella, Ann Dowd, O.T. Faqbenle, Samira Wile, Madeline Brewer, Amanda Brugel, Sam Jaeger, Ever Carradine, and Josh Charles.
“The Handmaid’s Tale is produced by MGM Television. Season Six is executive produced by Bruce Miller, Warren Littlefield, Eric Tuchman, Yahlin Chang, Elisabeth Moss, Sheila Hockin, John Weber, Frank Siracusa, Steve Stark, Kim Todd, Daniel Wilson, and Fran Sears.
The previous five seasons of “The Handmaid’s Tale’ are available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States. The series is internationally distributed by Amazon MGM Studios Distribution, which is why it’s not available on Disney+ internationally.
