
“The Good Doctor” Renewed For A Seventh Season
Disney’s ABC has announced that it has renewed the medical drama series, “The Good Doctor”, for a seventh season.
The series tells the story of Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore), who is a surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, continues to use his extraordinary medical gifts at St. Bonaventure Hospital’s surgical unit. Following their long-awaited wedding festivities and his promotion to surgical attending, Shaun and Lea’s relationship is immediately put to the test and they must learn to navigate life together as a married couple. Meanwhile, the team is dealing with changes at the hospital and in their personal lives that will present new emotional and interpersonal challenges for them.

The series stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman, Christina Chang as Dr. Audrey Lim, Fiona Gubelmann as Dr. Morgan Reznick, Will Yun Lee as Dr. Alex Park, Paige Spara as Lea Dilallo, Noah Galvin as Dr. Asher Wolke and Bria Samone Henderson as Dr. Jordan Allen.
The series is from Sony Pictures Television and ABC Signature. David Shore and Liz Friedman are executive producers and co-showrunners. Erin Gunn, Daniel Dae Kim, Mike Listo, David Kim, Sebastian Lee, Thomas L. Moran, David Hoselton, Freddie Highmore, Peter Blake, Jessica Grasl, Garrett Lerner and Shawn Williamson are also executive producers.
In the latest season, there was an embedded pilot episode of entitled “The Good Lawyer,” which is going to be a spin-off of “The Good Doctor”, which starred Kennedy McMann (‘Nancy Drew’), Emmy(R)-Winning Felicity Huffman (‘American Crime’) and Bethlehem Million (‘Sick’).
The previous six seasons of “The Good Doctor” are available to watch now on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ in many countries including Australia and New Zealand.
