“Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings” To Make Broadcast Television Debut
Disney has announced that the Marvel Studios film, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” is going to be heading to linear television for its broadcast television debut in the United States on Thursday, 25th May 2023 at 8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT on ABC as part of its “The Wonderful World of Disney” lineup, followed by airings throughout May and June beginning on FX and Freeform.
Marvel Studios’ “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization. The film also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, as well as Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng.
“Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings” was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and produced by Kevin Feige and Jonathan Schwartz, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Charles Newirth serving as executive producers. David Callaham, Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Lanham wrote the screenplay for the film.
“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” received multiple award nominations, including Academy Awards(R), Screen Actors Guild Awards, Annie Awards, Saturn Awards and People’s Choice Awards, with recognition for Favorite Action Movie Star for Simu Liu and Best Supporting Actress for Awkwafina at the Saturn Awards.
