“The Devil Wears Prada 2” Trailer Released
Disney has released a new trailer and posters for the highly anticipated sequel, “The Devil Wears Prada 2”, which is coming to cinemas this summer before heading to Hulu and Disney+ later this year.
Almost 20 years after making their iconic turn as Miranda, Andy, Emily and Nigel—Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return to the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway Magazine in the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2006 phenomenon that defined a generation.

&The film reunites the original main cast with director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, and introduces an all-new runway of characters including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as “Lily” and “Irv” from the first film.

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is produced by Wendy Finerman, and executive produced by Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt and Aline Brosh McKenna.
The film will premiere exclusively in theatres on May 1st 2026, and we should expect it to arrive on Hulu and Disney+ a few months later. The first film is also available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
Roger’s Take: As someone who has never seen the original film (shock!), this trailer did its job very well, as not only do I want to see this film, I’m also going to add the original film to my Disney+ watchlist to check out in the coming weeks ahead, as I really enjoyed the banter between the characters and I want to understand the reason why. So for me, the trailer was a big success, and I have little doubt that in the past twenty years, the original film has picked up enough fans to make the sequel a huge success for Disney.
