“The Amateur” Hulu & Disney+ Release Date Announced

Disney has officially confirmed that the new 20th Century Studios film, “The Amateur” will be arriving on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States on July 17th 2025.  It was also confirmed that the film will be available on Disney+ in Canada and the United Kingdom on the same day.

“The Amateur” portrays the gripping journey of CIA codebreaker Charlie Heller (Rami Malek) as he channels his intellect into a relentless pursuit of justice after his wife is killed in a terrorist attack. Under the tactical guidance of seasoned CIA operative Henderson (Laurence Fishburne), Heller evolves from analyst to avenger in a riveting story of love, loss, and retribution. Set against a visually striking international backdrop, “The Amateur” is brought to life by acclaimed director James Hawes and hailed by Deadline’s Pete Hammond as “a gripping global spy thriller.”

Moviegoers are responding enthusiastically to “The Amateur”, applauding its brilliant, thought-provoking storytelling. It’s earned an impressive 88% “Verified Moviegoer” score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Popcornmeter.

The movie was released in cinemas in early April, and it will be 97 days from its initial theatrical release to streaming. The movie is also available to purchase on digital platforms and on physical media formats such as Blu-Ray.
