With just weeks until Star Wars Celebration takes place, Lucasfilm took part in a special edition of Vanity Fair, discussing the next few Star Wars projects, including the third season of “The Mandalorian”.

Filming on the third season has recently wrapped and while there is still lots of work to do, with editing, sound and visual effects, it shouldn’t be too long until we see Grogu back on our screens.

Disney has confirmed a release window for the third season:

Season three of The Mandalorian, reuniting Pedro Pascal’s helmeted gunfighter with his little green ward (you know who), drops in late 2022 or early 2023.

It sounds like the third season of “The Mandalorian” could either arrive for Christmas or follow “The Book Of Boba Fett” which only debuted on Disney+ days before 2021 ended.  However, should the new season need a little more time, it might slide more into 2023.

The good news however, is while “The Mandalorian” might not be arriving until the holidays, we’ve still got “Andor” and “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series to keep us tied over, along with the second season of “The Bad Batch”.

In the meantime, the first two seasons of “The Mandalorian” are available to stream on Disney+ now.
