Sony Developing New Miranda Lambert Project For Hulu

Sony Pictures Television is developing a new untitled series for Hulu that is inspired by Miranda Lambert’s country music.

The series is described as “Big Little Lies” goes Honky Tonk. It follows a messy female friendship as one friend helps the other escape her abusive marriage. But when they try to start over in a small Texas town, their past will threaten to catch up to them, and they’ll discover their new home has as many secrets as they do.

According to Deadline, Miranda will be an executive producer on the show, along with Judalina Neira, who will be a writer, showrunner and executive producer on the project. Judalina has an overall deal with Sony Pictures Television.

Miranda Lambert is a three-time Grammy winner and has had multiple number-one albums. She is also the most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music Awards history, with 14 wins.

No other details about the project have been revealed, including when it will be produced or who will star in it. As with other Hulu original programming, we will likely also see it released globally on Disney+.
