Disney has announced that it will be hosting a special panel during the D23 Expo for the upcoming original documentary, “Mickey: The Story Of A Mouse”.

Disney Original Documentary is presenting a panel dedicated to “Mickey: The Story of a Mouse”, which celebrates one of the world’s most beloved icons, Mickey Mouse. Hosted by Bret Iwan, the official voice of Mickey himself, the panel will include filmmakers and select film participants. Attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film as well, as an exclusive sneak peek.

The panel will be taking place from 10:00 am until 11:00 am PT on the Backlot Stage on Sunday 11th September 2022, at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Mickey Mouse is one of the most enduring symbols in our history. Those three simple circles take on meaning for virtually everyone on the planet. So ubiquitous in our lives that he can seem invisible, Mickey is something we all share, with unique memories and feelings. Over the course of his nearly century-long history, Mickey functions like a mirror, reflecting our personal and cultural values back at us. “Mickey: The Story of a Mouse” explores Mickey’s significance, getting to the core of what Mickey’s cultural impact says about each of us and about our world.

The documentary premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival in March, and hopefully, during the D23 Expo, we will get a release date for when the film will be coming to Disney+.

Disney is also going to be revealing more details about this series in the upcoming issue of the D23 magazine, twenty-three, which is currently being mailed out to D23 members.
