Over two years ago, it was revealed that Disney would be making a third “Sister Act” movie for Disney+ and during this week’s Walt Disney Company Investor Day event, it was officially announced.

Sister Act 3, will be the third film in the beloved “Sister Act” series and is now in development.

Whoopi Goldberg is on board to star and produce, with Tyler Perry also signed on as a producer on the project.

It has been confirmed that “Sister Act 3” will premiere on Disney+.   No release date has yet been confirmed for this film.

Both “Sister Act” movies are available now on Disney+.
