Sebastian Maniscalco Comedy Special Coming Soon To Hulu & Disney+
Disney is slowly building up its new “Hularious” comedy brand, which kicks off in November with a special from Jim Gaffigan, which will be one of twelve specials to launch each year, with one new comedy special dropping per month.
So far, Disney has signed up Bill Burr, Chris Distefano, Ilana Glazer, Jessica Kirson, Matteo Lane, Atsuko Okatsuka and Roy Wood Jr.
It’s been revealed by THR that Sebastian Maniscalco has signed up to join the new monthly stand-up initiative. Sebastian has made a number of comedy specials for Netflix, Showtime and Comedy Central.
No release date has been announced for Sebastian’s comedy special, which will be filmed as part of his “It Ain’t Right” tour. The tour sees him joke about the absurdities of modern life, from nonexistent manners and wallet-winced prices to the chaos of social media.
In a statement regarding the new comedy special, Sebastian Maniscalco said:
“How many times do you catch yourself thinking, ‘It Ain’t Right’? This special is my way of uniting us to laugh at the ridiculousness of the world around us, and I’m thrilled to share it with my fans. So, get your sweats on, pop yourself some popcorn, and get ready to laugh.”
The new comedy special is going to be produced by Done+Dusted, who previously produced the 74th Emmy Awards, with Emmy winner Paul Dugdale, directing the the special. Paul has previously worked on “Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour” and “Adele: One Night Only”.
