Disney’s Searchlight Pictures has announced that its upcoming film, “Not Okay” is going to be released on Hulu in the United States and as a Star Original on Disney+ internationally in countries including the UK, Canada and Australia, on August 5th 2022.

This film has been written and directed by Quinn Shepard and stars Zoey Deutch, Dylan O’Brien and Mia Isaac.

“Not Okay” centers on Danni Sanders (Deutch), an aimless aspiring writer who fakes an Instagram-friendly trip to Paris in the hopes of boosting her social media clout. When a terrifying incident strikes there, Danni unwittingly falls into a lie bigger than she ever imagined. She “returns” a hero, even striking up an unlikely friendship with Rowan (Isaac), a school-shooting survivor dedicated to societal change, and scooping up the man of her dreams Colin (O’Brien). It’s only a matter of time though before the façade cracks.

The film was shot last year in New York.

Makeready’s Brad Weston & Negin Salmasi will be producing the film along with Bad Education producer Caroline Jaczko. Searchlight Picture’s Chan Phung, Miranda Hill and Apolline Berty will also be producing the film.

Are you looking forward to watching “Not Okay” this summer?
