Disney hosted a special gala event in the United Kingdom for the launch of the new Pixar film, “Turning Red”, which introduces Mei Lee (Rosalie Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming (Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda!

The event was held at Everyman Borough Yards in London, England and attending the London Gala was the film’s director, Academy Award winner Domee Shi (Pixar short “Bao”) and the film’s producer by Lindsey Collin. Also attending the event was the film’s stars, Sandra Oh and Rosalie Chiang. Also attending the event was singer Anne-Marie, who also makes a cameo in the movie and S Club 7’s Rachel Stevens.

Here are some photos from the event:

“Turning Red launches exclusively on Disney+ on March 11th, 2022.
