One of this year’s most anticipated Disney+ series is “Star Wars” Obi-Wan Kenobi”, which is set 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and years before the events of “A New Hope”.

We know very little about what this new series is going to be about, other than the Jedi hunters, the Inquisitors, are on Tatooine tracking down people who are sensitive to the force.

The series also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Also appearing in the series are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.

During a recent red carpet event to promote the new Netflix series, “Anatomy Of A Scandal”, Rupert Friend shared a little bit of information about some potential wonderful cameos that are going to be appearing in the Disney+ series.

If it’s possible to be any more excited than folks already are, I would be. I think [the series] is one of the most thrilling additions to the Star Wars canon. I think Ewan McGregor is doing things with that role that is a dream for fans of the original films. You know, we can’t obviously have Alec Guinness back, but I just think Ewan was absolutely born to play that part. And wonderful cameos from people I obviously can’t tell you, but Easter eggs galore… Yeah, it’s a thrilling ride.”

There are so many different characters that could make a cameo in the new “Kenobi” series, since the series can pull in characters from both the original and prequel trilogies plus the animated shows like “Rebels”, which took place around the time of “Kenobi” series.  Could we see Hondo, Captain Rex, Commander Cody, or even Ahsoka make an appearance?

Luckily we won’t have to wait too much longer, as the first two episodes of “Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi” are coming to Disney+ on Friday 27th May 2022, with new episodes being released weekly afterwards on Wednesdays.

What cameos are you hoping to see in “Kenobi”?
