
Ramón Rodríguez Signs New Multi-Year First-Look Deal With 20th Television
Disney’s 20th Television has signed a new multi-year first-look deal with Ramón Rodríguez, who is the star and executive producer of the hit show, “Will Trent”.
This deal will see Ramón Rodríguez develop and produce television series across broadcast, cable, and streaming, focusing on projects for Disney Entertainment Television platforms, including Hulu and Disney+.
“Will Trent” has been a huge success for Disney, where it’s released on ABC, Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally. The show is based on Karin Slaughter’s New York Times bestselling “Will Trent” book series, Special Agent Will Trent (Rodríguez) of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was abandoned at birth and endured a harsh coming-of-age in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system. Now, he uses his unique point of view in the pursuit of justice and has the highest clearance rate in the GBI.
The show will be returning for a fourth season, and production is set to begin later this month. Ramón will also be directing episodes of the new season.
