Disney has announced that the National Geographic documentary series, “Primal Survivor: Extreme African Safari”, is coming to Disney+ on Wednesday, 25th October 2023. The series has been released over the summer on the National Geographic Wild channel.

Survival expert Hazen Audel treks through Africa’s Great Rift Valley on an extreme expedition to see rare and magnificent wildlife out in the open.

Here are some details on the new episodes:

  • Desert Nomads – On the first leg of his trek into the Great Rift Valley, Hazen Audel battles the arid Chalbi desert on a mission to find a tribal camel train.
  • Valley of Giants – On the second leg of his journey, Hazen Audel descends the sheer face of the Great Rift Valley in search of a herd of migrating elephants.
  • Deadly Waters – In this part of Hazen Audel’s extreme African safari, he takes on the mighty Lake Baringo. His goal is to witness millions of migratory flamingos.
  • Rhino Mountain – Hazen Audel hits Hell’s Gate gorge searching for black rhino. Forest foragers send him to a deep cave network on the trail of the magnificent creatures.
  • Untamed Coast – Hazen Audel tackles the Indian Ocean in a battle to reach a network of coastal coral caves, home to the largest bat colony in Africa.
  • Serengeti – In an epic finale, Hazen Audel takes on the Serengeti wilderness as he battles to reach his ultimate goal, the Great Migration of wildebeest.

This is the latest instalment in the “Primal Survivor” franchise, which sees survival expert Hazen Audel reliving his most thrilling, most agonizing and most down-right disgusting moments and reveals what it takes to become a Primal Survivor. Finding water, sourcing protein, building shelter and making fire is essential to staying alive in the wild, but in some hostile regions of the world, these survival basics can seem impossible to master.

Previous seasons of “Primal Survivor” are also available to stream on Disney+.
