Disney has released a new behind the scenes featurette on the production design of the Searchlight Pictures film, “Poor Things”, which is the incredible tale and fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter, a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter. Under Baxter’s protection, Bella is eager to learn. Free from the prejudices of her times, Bella grows steadfast in her purpose to stand for equality and liberation.

The film has been directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and stars Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef and Jerred Carmichael.

It’s based on the book by Alasdair Gray, the screenplay was written by Tony McNamara, making this the second collaboration between Lanthimos and McNamara. The movie was produced by Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, Yorgos Lanthimos, and Emma Stone.
