“Paradise” Season 2 Finale A Hit For Hulu & Disney+
Last week, Disney released the season finale of the second season of the hit drama series, “Paradise”, on Hulu and Disney+ around the world.
“Paradise” is set in a serene community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquillity explodes when a shocking murder occurs, and a high-stakes investigation unfolds.
In the second season, Xavier searches for Teri out in the world and learns how people survived the three years since The Day. Back in Paradise, the social fabric frays as the bunker deals with the aftermath of season one, and new secrets are uncovered about the city’s origins.
The season two premiere was a bit of a hit, pulling in 7 million views worldwide on Hulu and Disney+ in the first nine days, and it’s been revealed that the season finale has pulled in 4.3 million views globally across Disney+ and Hulu in the first three days, up 35% over the premiere. The season one finale pulled in 6.3 million views within the first week. According to Hulu, audiences have streamed 13B minutes of “Paradise” to date.
“Paradise” is created and executive produced by Dan Fogelman. Jess Rosenthal, John Hoberg, Sterling K. Brown, Steve Beers, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa also executive produce. The series is a 20th Television production, and it has already been renewed for a third season.
The show stars Sterling K. Brown, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Enuka Okuma, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV and Charlie Evans, with recurring guest stars James Marsden, Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty, and Jon Beavers.
Both seasons of “Paradise” are available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in the US for bundle subscribers and on Disney+ internationally.
Rogers’s Take: It’s great to see “Paradise” continues to be successful, and as a fan of the show, I’m glad we are going to be getting more of it. However, I do wish Disney would give more regular viewership data and with a consistent date length to make comparison easier.
