Onyx Collective Orders New Pilot Starring Edgar Ramírez
Disney’s Onyx Collective is developing a pilot of a brand new drama that tells the story of a cutthroat battle to dominate the Manhattan skyline, two rival real estate developers risk everything — wealth, family and their souls — as their ambition turns into obsession, and their partnership turns into war.
The untitled pilot is going to be created by Roberto Patino and Cassius Corrigan, who are writing and executive producing the show, with Roberto also acting as the showrunner on the project.
Roberto Patrino has previously worked on “DMZ”, “Westword”, “Zero Day” and the FX series “Sons Of Anarchy”. Cassius Corrigan has previously worked on “Huracan” and “The Caregiver”.
Variety is reporting that Edgar Ramírez is going to star in the show and play the role of Moises Saladín, described as “the charismatic heir to a Latin American real estate empire, whose unyielding ambition blurs the line between visionary genius and ruthless tactician.”
Edgar will also be an executive producer on the project. He has previously starred in “Dr Death” and FX’s “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story”.
Oly Obst and Luke Maxwell of 3 Arts are also executive producers on the pilot, along with Liz Tigelaar and Stacey Silverman for Best Day Ever. Donahue Peebles III executive produces as well, with Alonso Ruizpalacios (“La Cocina,” “Andor”) set to direct and executive produce the pilot.
As with any pilot, should it get given the go ahead, we should expect to see it released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
