Following the release of the season finale of the third season of “Only Murders In The Building”, Disney has officially confirmed that the show will be returning for a fourth season.  The show, which is created by 20th Television, is released exclusively on Hulu in the United States, on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ around the world.

The third season finds Charles, Oliver & Mabel (played by Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) investigating a murder behind the scenes of a Broadway show. Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) is a Hollywood action star whose Broadway debut is cut short by his untimely death. Aided by co-star Loretta Durkin (Meryl Streep), our trio embarks on their toughest case yet, all while director Oliver desperately attempts to put his show back together.

As with previous seasons, In the season finale, we have a cliffhanger that sets up the murder that needs to be investigated in the next season. At the end of the finale, we see Charles’ stunt double, Sazz Pataki, played by Jane Lynch, head off to Charles’s apartment to get some wine for the afterparty, but we then see her, lying on the floor, with a wound to her chest, and she starts to write something on the floor with her own blood, before the show cuts to the credits.  Leaving the show wide open for the next season’s story.

Disney confirmed the fourth season on social media by sharing this image:

With the writer’s strike now over, Disney can now put together a writer’s room for the show, so that once the actor’s strike is sorted out, filming would be able to start, in order to get a new season out for next summer, should it continue with its release schedule from previous seasons.

All three seasons of “Only Murders In The Building” are available to stream now on Hulu in the United States, Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ around the world.
