Nielsen has announced its top 10 streaming charts for the United States from June 17th, 2024, to June 23rd. There are four different charts: Top 10 Originals, Acquired Shows, Movies, and a combined total chart.

Disney continues to dominate the acquired chart, with half of the shows on the chart available on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+. This also impacts the overall chart, as half of the shows are available on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.

Pixar’s “Inside Out” also had a huge boost in viewership, with “Inside Out 2” coming out in cinemas, with the original movie becoming the second most-watched film across every streaming platform.  The new Hulu Original “Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini” had a strong debut on the original chart.

This week’s Nielsen chart also shows that the viewership of “Star Wars: The Acolyte” has collapsed, with the show not making any of the charts, showing that the audience wasn’t impressed by the first two episodes and didn’t come back in big enough numbers for the third episode.  It’ll be interesting if there will be a boost in viewership over the next few weeks, but this also shows how this series hasn’t worked.

“Bluey” continues to be a massive hit for Disney+, especially with the new episodes dropping throughout April.  Hulu is also doing very well in the overall and acquired charts, with popular shows like “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Family Guy”, “Bob’s Burgers”, and “Criminal Minds” continuing to attract millions of minutes of viewing time.
