Development on the upcoming second season of the popular Hulu Original series, “Nine Perfect Strangers” is currently underway and more casting news has been revealed.

Based on The New York Times bestselling book by author Liane Moriarty, the first season of Nine Perfect Strangers takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. The resort’s director, Masha, watches over them during this 10-day retreat, a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine “perfect” strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.

Originally, the series was set to be a limited series, but with the show becoming the most-watched Hulu Original when it came out in 2021, work began on a second season, which will move to a new location in the Swiss Alps.

The second season will star Annie Murphy (Schitt’s Creek) as Imogen and Christine Baranski (The Gilded Age) as Victoria.  With Lucas Englander (Transatlantic) playing Martin and King Princess, who is making her acting debut and will play the role of Tina.

Also starring in the new series will be Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus, The Last Of Us) as Brian, Dolly de Leon (Triangle of Sadness) as Agnes, Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Undeclared War) as Wolfie, and Aras Aydin will play Matteo.

Deadline has also revealed that Nicole Kidman will be returning as Masha, running a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation. As the resort’s director, Masha reinvigorates the incoming city dwellers who are looking for a better way of living.

Also joining the cat will be Henry Golding, who will play Peter, Mark Strong will play David, and Lena Olin will play Helena.

“Nine Perfect Strangers” was created by David E. Kelley, Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories, Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films and Endeavor Content.

The first season of “Nine Perfect Strangers” is available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. The show is also available on Amazon Prime internationally. No return date has been announced yet.
