New York Comic-Con To Host “Monsters At Work” – Season 2 Panel
One of the first Disney+ Originals announced was “Monsters At Work”, which takes place the day after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley’s discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams. It follows the story of Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated, and discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in. After Tylor is temporarily reassigned to the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team(MIFT), he must work alongside a misfit bunch of mechanics while setting his sights on becoming a Jokester.
Produced by Disney Television Animation and inspired by the world of Disney and Pixar’s Academy Award-winning “Monsters, Inc., “the series introduces new monster characters alongside returning favourites. The series saw Billy Crystal and John Goodman return to reprise their beloved roles as Mike and Sulley.
The first season of “Monsters At Work” debuted on Disney+ in the summer of 2021, and a second season was quickly announced, but we’ve not heard too much about the second season. However, today, the schedule for the New York Comic-Con has been announced, and there will be a panel called “Monsters at Work” – A First Look Behind the Doors of Season Two, which is going to be taking place on Sunday 15th October 2023 at 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM in Room 405.
The panel’s official description states,
Get your fix of monstrous surprises with a sneak peek screening of “Monsters at Work” ahead of its season two debut. From Disney Branded Television, the Emmy Award-nominated animated series is inspired by Disney and Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc.”
As with other panels from New York Comic-Con, don’t expect this panel to be live-streamed and will only be seen by those in attendance. No release date has been announced for the second season of “Monsters At Work”, but hopefully, with this upcoming panel, we get confirmation pretty soon, and it won’t be too much longer until it’s out on Disney+. In the meantime, you can watch the original films, plus the first season of “Monsters At Work” on Disney+ now.
