On November 12th 2024, Disney+ will be celebrating its fifth anniversary of when the streaming service launched in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

To tie in with the anniversary, Disney has announced it is going to be releasing a brand new holiday short that has been directed by Taika Waititi, who has previously worked with Disney on “Next Goal Wins”, “Thor: Ragnarok”, “Thor: Love & Thunder” and “Jojo Rabbit”.

Very little has been revealed about this upcoming, such as its name or what it’s about, but a short teaser video has been released showing a young boy at the beach, who goes snorkelling and meets a cute Octopus.

Roger’s Take: While we know next to nothing about this short, such as even the shorts name, this has instantly caught my attention as when I was a eight year old kid, I remember snorkeling for the first time on holiday and spotting an Octopus, so this little clip instantly took me back to that core memory! I can’t wait to see this one!
