New LEGO Star Wars Animated Adventure To Be Revealed At D23: The Ultimate Fan Event

Over the years, Disney has teamed up with LEGO on multiple animated shorts and specials for Disney+, featuring franchises such as Frozen, Pixar, Marvel, and Princesses.

There have also been many Star Wars-themed LEGO specials released on Disney+, including “All Stars”, “Terrifying Tales”, and “Rebuild The Galaxy”.   Later this year, we are going to be getting another brand new animated adventure.

Disney has recently revealed details on its programming schedule for the upcoming “D23: The Ultimate Fan Event”, which takes place in Anaheim, California, from August 14th through to the 16th.

There will be a special LEGO Star Wars screening event on Saturday, 15th, 2026, on the Hyperion Stage at 10 am, where guests will experience a special screening of an all-new LEGO Star Wars animated adventure filled with iconic characters, unexpected laughs, and action-packed fun.  The screening event will be perfect for Star Wars and LEGO fans of all ages.

Unfortunately, we don’t yet know any more details on this new animated adventure, such as whether it will be a one-off special, a series of shorts or something else.   Nor, what era it might cover, i.e., the original trilogy, the prequel Clone War era, the sequels or a mix up of all of them, as we’ve seen in many of their recent releases.   I wouldn’t be surprised if they once again go for a mix-up, since that appeals to more fans and, more importantly, I suspect there will be some tie-in LEGO sets released, just in time for the holidays. 

Disney has announced that more details about this special will be shared at a later date, hopefully before the D23 event.
