This week at the Cannes International Series Festival in France, a brand new Korean Original series called “Hunter With A Scalpel” is getting its European premiere.

This new psychological crime thriller tells the story of how the past comes back to haunt a forensic pathologist considered to be the top of her field. The father she presumed dead all these years has returned to threaten everything she worked for. With everything on the line, she has no choice but to face her past to save her future.

This upcoming series stars Park Ju Hyun, who will be playing the role of the forensic doctor Seo Se Hyun and Park Yong Woo will play the psychopathic serial killer Yoon Jo Gyun.  Kang Hoon is going to play the role of Jung Jung Hyun, who is the relentless leader of the violent crimes unit. 

“Hunter With A Scalpel” has been created by Choi Ido and written by Cho Hanyoung, Park Hyunshin, Hong Yeoni, and Jin Sehyuk.  The show has been directed by Lee Junghoon and features music by Choi Sungkwon.

The show will be coming to Disney+ in Korea on June 16th 2025, no international Disney+ and Hulu release has been confirmed, but expect to see it released globally like many other Korean original shows.
