Disney has revealed new details on a new Korean drama series called “Race”, which stars Lee Yeon-hee and Hong Jong-hyun.

This upcoming series will follow the story of Park Yoon-jo, a PR professional who makes up for her lack of experience and qualifications only with her passion and hard work. She unexpectedly gets embroiled in a recruitment scandal as she learns that she was only employed as a “diversity hire” and tries to defy the naysayers, her superiors, and her peers.

“Race stars Lee Yeon Hee (New Year Blues, Welcome to Wedding Hell) as Park Yoon-jo; Moon So Ri (The Handmaiden, Seoul Vibe) as Goo Yi-jung, Hong Jong Hyun (Moon Lovers) as Ryu Jae-min; and Jung Yun Ho (Dating On Earth) as Seo Dong-hoon.

The series has been written by acclaimed screenwriter Kim Roo-ri (Hyena, The Ace) and directed by Lee Dong-yoon (She Would Never Know, 20th Century Boy and Girl).

“Race” is going to be coming to Disney+ in Korea on May 10th 2023, and the show will likely be released globally on Disney+ and on Hulu in the US, though no international release has yet been confirmed.
