New Italian Disney+ Original “Uonderbois” Begins Filming
Disney has announced that filming has begun on a brand new Original Italian series for Disney+, called “Uonderbois”, which will tell the story of many of the popular legends of one of the most unique cities in the world: Naples. A group of five twelve-year-olds – united by the imagination of those who grew up on the streets of Naples – who firmly believe in the existence of the “Uonderboi”, who is a cross between the legendary figure of “Munaciello” and a modern Robin Hood . Together they will venture into the underground world of Naples and they will discover that in every story there is always a pinch of truth.
The series is being created by Lotus Productions, with Andrea De Sica and Giorgio Romano directing it.
The cast includes Serena Rossi, Massimiliano Caiazzo, Junior Rodriguez, Melissa Caturano, Catello Buonocore, Christian Chiummariello, Gennaro Filippone, Giordana Marengo, Giovanni Esposito, Ernesto Mahieux, Francesco Di Leva, Ivana Lotito and with the extraordinary participation of Nino D’Angelo.
“Uonderbois” is one of over 60 local productions being created by Disney+ in Europe by 2024. Disney is committed to working with outstanding creators and premium producers as part of the company’s commitment to source, develop and produce original productions in Europe.
This brand-new series will be coming exclusively to Disney+. As with most international originals, we should expect to see this series released globally.
