New “Daredevil” Series In Development For Disney+
Ever since the “Defenders” saga Netflix series was cancelled, there has been speculation about the return of characters like Daredevil, Jessica Jones and The Punisher. And since the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin in the “Hawkeye” Disney+ series, many fans have been expecting the return of the Man without Fear to our screens.
The good news is that according to Variety, Matt Corman and Chris Ord are attached to write and executive produce a brand new series for Disney+.
The pair have previously worked on “Covert Affairs”, “The Enemy Within”,“The Brave”, and “Containment.”
Marvel hasn’t officially confirmed that a new “Daredevil” series is in development for Disney+, but it’s not uncommon for some projects to be known unofficially for a while, such as the upcoming Halloween Disney+ special, “Werewolf By Night“.
Earlier this year, Disney purchased back the distribution rights to the “Defenders” Saga Marvel series from Netflix, moving them onto Disney+ in many countries, including the US, in March.
It’s also been rumoured that Matt Murdock might make a cameo in the upcoming “She-Hulk: Attorney In Law” series and possibly also appear in the new “Echo” series, which is currently being filmed.
Marvel Studios have many projects in development for Disney+, including “Echo”, “House Of Harkness”, “Secret Wars”, “Ironheart” and “Armor Wars”, so hopefully it won’t be too long until we see Daredevil back on our screens.
