Bandai Namco has revealed new artwork from the upcoming anime series, “Synduality”, which is due to premiere later this year on TV Tokyo in Japan, and it will also be streaming exclusively on Disney+ worldwide.

The year is 2222. It has been years since Tears of the New Moon, a mysterious rain, poured and wiped out almost the entire human race. The poisonous rain gave birth to deformed creatures devouring for humans, and humanity fled from the danger. As means for survival, the humans then build an underground haven; Amasia. In this new built dystopian city, on a pursuit of maintaining their existence, they run into an Artificial Intelligence named Magus. Not knowing how things will work between them, the story of how Humans and AI coinciding and trying to find their truths begin.

There will also be a new video game released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC Digital, which is a brand-new Sci-Fi third-person shooter project that lures users into the world of Amasia—where they will experience firsthand how Humans and Artificial Intelligence—known in the game as Magus, will intertwine.  In the game,  Players will join the “Synduality” universe as “Drifters”—making a living by collecting a rare resource known as “AO Crystals”. They will be accompanied by their “Cradle Coffin”— armed vehicles that will get them mobile during dangerous expeditions through a hazardous terrestrial environment.

This new anime series will star Takeo Ōtsuka as Kanata, Yūsuke Kobayashi as Tokio, Fuminori Komatsu as Mouton, Konomi Inagaki as Ellie, Ayaka Ohashi as Ange, and Taito Ban as Kurokamen. Also starring in the series will be Aoi Koga as Noir, Nagisa Aoyama as Ciel, and M.A.O. as Schnee.

The new anime series is produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks and has been animated by Eight Bit.  It is being directed by Yūsuke Yamamoto and is based on an original story by Hajime Kamoshida.

This new anime continues Disney’s expansion into the anime genre, with shows like “Bleach” and “Tokyo Revengers” getting global releases on Disney’s streaming platforms, including Disney+, Star+ and Hulu.
