In February, Disney is releasing the latest film from Marvel Studios, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” on Disney+ around the world and on digital platforms to buy.


What Is “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” About?

In Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, ruler of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livinalli.

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” is directed by Ryan Coogler and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore.


How To Watch “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”

The brand-new film from Marvel Studios will only be available to stream exclusively on Disney+ around the world. So it won’t be available on other streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or HBO Max. The film will be available to purchase on digital platforms and also on physical media formats such as DVD and Blu-Ray.

Disney+ is the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, along with The Simpsons and much more. In select international markets, it also includes the general entertainment content brand, Star.

Disney+ is currently available in more than 150 markets across North America, Europe, Asia/Pacific, Africa, and Latin America.

To watch Disney+, you’ll need to download the app on a supported device such as a Smart TV, Mobile Phone, Playstation, Xbox or on a dedicated streaming device like a Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, Apple TV, or Sky Q.

You can sign up on DisneyPlus.com from a web browser on your desktop or mobile device, or by downloading the Disney+ app.

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” will join 16 other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies now streaming in IMAX Enhanced on Disney+, which gives subscribers more picture with an expanded aspect ratio for an immersive viewing experience at home (content availability varies by region).


What Time Will “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Be Released On Disney+

Disney+ updates on Wednesdays at the following times:

  • Pacific Time: 00:00 AM / Midnight
  • Eastern Time: 03:00 AM
  • UK: 08:00 AM
  • Sydney, Australia – 19:00 PM

Sometimes films can arrive a few minutes later as the servers update. The Disney+ front page usually updates about an hour later.


Can You Stream “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” For Free?

You will need a Disney+ subscription to watch “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, and unfortunately, Disney+ doesn’t offer a free trial.  But if you do sign up for a monthly subscription, you can unsubscribe after a month, or when the series ends.


Where Can I Watch The First “Black Panther” Film?

The original “Black Panther” film is available to stream on Disney+ now, and it is also available to purchase/rent on digital platforms.

In the original film, after the death of his father, the king of Wakanda, young T’Challa returns home to the isolated high-tech African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful enemy appears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested as he’s drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, he must release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life. Some flashing lights sequences or patterns may affect photosensitive viewers.


Is “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” on Netflix?

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” will not be available on Netflix or HBO Max.
