Disney has announced a brand new anime called “Cat’s Eye” is going to be soon coming to Disney+ around the world and on Hulu/Hulu On Disney+ in the United States in 2025.

“Cat’s Eyes” follows the adventures of three sisters – Hitomi, Rui and Ai who work as art thieves trying to collect all of the art that once belonged to their missing father.

This is a reimagined version of the beloved Japanese manga series that appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from September 1981 to January 1985. The new series will also feature a cover of the opening theme song for the first anime version, which came out in 1983 and it will be performed by Ado.

Hojo’s original manga series was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from September 1981 to January 1985, releasing 18 tankobon volumes in total. Its first TV anime adaptation was aired for two seasons: Cat’s Eye for 36 episodes from July 1983 to March 1984, and Cat’s Eye 2 for 37 episodes from October 1984 to July 1985.

“Cat’s Eye” is one of many new anime’s coming to Disney+ as part of its international original lineup, which not only appeals to the local market but anime has become a very popular medium of entertainment around the world.
