Disney has announced that “NCIS” will be returning with new episodes for its twentieth season on Disney+ in the United Kingdom and Ireland from Wednesday 18th January 2023.

NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is more than just an action drama. With liberal doses of humor, it’s a show that focuses on the sometimes complex and always amusing dynamics of a team forced to work together in high-stress situations. From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties.

NCIS is the one of the most popular shows, and stars Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover and Katrina Law, with David McCallum, Rocky Carroll and Gary Cole, star. Steven D. Binder, Chas. Floyd Johnson, Mark Horowitz, Mark Harmon, Scott Williams, David North and Donald P. Bellisario serve as executive producers.

The 20th season of “NCIS” returned in the United States in September, before going on a mid-season break before Christmas. CBS hasn’t yet confirmed the exact number of episodes in this season. New episodes are expected to be released until May 2023, as most of the previous seasons usually have around 20 to 24 episodes per season, with the past few years having slightly fewer due to production issues during the pandemic.

NCIS is produced by Belisarius Productions in association with CBS Studios.  Disney has the distribution rights to the series in the United Kingdom and Ireland following the purchase of 2oth Century Fox, as the show used to air on the FOX channel until it closed down and new content was shifted to Disney+.   The spin-off series, “NCIS: Hawaii,” is also currently being released weekly on Disney+ and the first nineteen seasons of “NCIS” are also available to stream now on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland.
