“Mother Undercover” Trailer Released
Disney’s ABC News Studios has released a trailer for the new documentary called “Mother Undercover”, which is coming to Hulu later this week on July 27th 2023.
Across four astounding episodes, viewers meet four incredible mothers. Each faces every parent’s worst nightmare – a child who is kidnapped and taken halfway across the world; the possibility of their children being taken away by a corrupt judge; their lives at stake as a religious group spiral towards mass suicide; and a son shot dead on the street. Each of them transforms into an undercover agent, taking matters into their own hands, whatever the cost.
Here are the details on each episode:
- Episode 1 – Mom vs. Killer – When a rapper is brutally shot and killed, his mother turns detective online and on the streets and goes up against a violent drug dealer.
- Episode 2 – Mom vs. Kidnapper – Undercover mom, Tiffany, risks everything on an international undercover mission to rescue her 7-year-old son who’s been kidnapped by his father and is now in hiding 7000 miles away.
- Episode 3 – Mom vs. Corruption – In a covert sting operation, mom Frieda exposes a corrupt NY Supreme Court judge and uncovers a network of bribery and conspiracy to secure custody of her children.
- Episode 4 – Mom vs. Cult – A desperate mother leads a double life to save her son from a religious mass suicide. The rest of her family perish with 900 others in the Jonestown massacre.
While the majority of ABC News Studios documentaries are released internationally on Disney+ as Star Originals, currently no international release details have been announced.
The documentary has been produced by ABC News Studios and Pioneer Productions. It is executive produced by Thomas Viner and Rachel Morgan at Pioneer Productions, with David Sloan as senior executive producer and Beth Hoppe as executive producer for ABC News Studios.
