More Cast Revealed For “Percy Jackson And The Olympians” Season 3

The second season of the hit Disney+ Original series, “Percy Jackson And The Olympians,” is currently being released weekly on the streaming service, and Disney has already greenlit a third season.

“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus.

In the second season, after Camp Half-Blood’s protective border is breached, Percy Jackson embarks on an epic odyssey into the Sea of Monsters in search of his best friend Grover and the one thing that may save the camp – the legendary Golden Fleece. With help from Annabeth, Clarisse, and his newfound cyclops half-brother Tyson, Percy’s survival becomes essential to stopping Luke, the Titan Kronos, and their impending plan to bring down Camp Half-Blood – and ultimately, Olympus.

The third season will be based on the third novel in Rick Riordan’s five-book series, “The Titan’s Curse” and will sees Percy, Thalia, and Annabeth rescue demigod siblings Bianca and Nico di Angelo from a manticore, but Annabeth is then kidnapped by the Titan Atlas, who forces the goddess Artemis to hold up the sky, creating the Titan’s Curse. Percy joins a quest with the Hunters of Artemis, led by Zoe Nightshade, to rescue Annabeth and Artemis before the winter solstice, facing monsters and betrayal, culminating in a battle where Atlas is trapped again, Luke is defeated, and Zoë dies, becoming a constellation

Disney has released new casting details for the third season, revealing that Holt McCallany, David Costabile and Jesse L. Martin are going to guest star in the third season.

Holt McCallany will be joining the cast in a recurring guest role as the legendary Titan, who is also known as the Bearer of Heaven, who was condemned by Zeus to hold up the celestial heavens after the last Titan war against the Olympians. Atlas has recently been freed from his burden and now seeks to lead the armies of Kronos in a war of vengeance.

He has previously starred in “The Waterfront” and “The Amateur”.  Holt will be appearing in six episodes of the new season.

David Costabile will be playing the role of Dr. Thorn, a stern military academy headmaster who demands obedience from his students.  David has previously starred in “Suits” and “Billions”.

Jesse L. Martin will be playing the role of Annabeth’s mortal dad, Frederick Chase, a sometimes absent-minded but truly brilliant military historian that Athena deemed worthy to parent her daughter.  Jesse has previously starred in “The Flash” and “Law & Order”.

They will join the previously announced cast, which includes Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, playing the children of Hades, Nico and Bianca di Angelo, with Dafne Keen playing the role of Artemis and Saara Chaudry playing Zoë Nightshade.

Created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg.  “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is executive produced by Steinberg and Dan Shotz alongside Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, The Gotham Group’s Jeremy Bell, D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler and Sarah Watson.

The first season of “Percy Jackson And The Olympians”, along with the first half of the second season, are available to stream on Disney+.
