“In The Summers” Coming Soon To Hulu & Hulu On Disney+
Disney has revealed that it has acquired a new movie called “In The Summers”, which was originally released in cinemas last year and was a big success at last year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it won the grand jury prize.
Siblings Violeta and Eva live in California with their mother, but every summer, they travel to Las Cruces, New Mexico, to spend time with their loving but unpredictable father, Vicente (René “Residente” Pérez Joglar). Over the course of four formative summers that span adolescence to early adulthood, Violeta and Eva learn to appreciate their father as a person, his flaws and limitations inseparable from his passion and tenderness. Lovers come and go, and the backyard goes to seed, but the idea of the home remains knotty and elusive.
It stars René “Residente” Pérez Joglar, Sasha Calle, Lío Mehiel, Sharlene Cruz, Leslie Grace, Emma Ramos, Kimaya Thais Limon, Allison Salinas, Dreya Castillo, and Luciana Elisa Quiñonez.
The movie will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ on February 5th 2025. Internationally, in many regions, including Europe, Latin America and Asia, the film will soon be getting a theatrical release. No international Disney+ release has been confirmed.
The movie’s director, Alessandra Lacorazza, revealed her excitement about the film being released on Hulu to Variety.
“I’m thrilled that “In the Summers” will find a home at Hulu. It’s the perfect place for the film to reach a wider audience,”
