Later this year, the next Marvel Studios series, “Agatha”, is going to be released on Disney+. The series is a spin-off of the popular “WandaVision” series, which sees Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as Agatha Harkness.

Since the show was initially announced at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, it has gone through a number of name changes, having previously been called “Agatha: House Of Harkness, “Agatha: Coven Of Chaos”, and “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.” Recently it was revealed that the show had been renamed again, but this time to something simpler, just “Agatha”.

“Agatha” also stars Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata and Ali Ahn. The show will also star Emma Caulfield Ford, Maria Dizzia, Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Okwui Okpokwasili.  No plot details on the upcoming “Agatha” series have been revealed yet.

Recently, actor Miriam Margolyes revealed during an interview with news.com.au to promote the release of her book that she turned down a role in the Marvel Disney+ series.

“They contacted me and said, ‘we’re doing a story about witches’. I thought, ‘oh god, not witches again, because I’ve done that with Harry Potter’.”

The actress has starred in the “Harry Potter” films and recently voiced Meep in one of the “Doctor Who” 60th anniversary specials. Miriam also revealed that she wasn’t happy about heading to Atlanta, Georgia, to film the Disney+ series.

“I don’t like America and I didn’t want to be in Georgia for four months.  So I just said, ‘well, I want a million pounds (A$1.9 million)’ and they said, ‘you can have half a million’, and I said, ‘no, I don’t want to do it’, so it just stopped.  Really it’s a story about my own greed rather than anything else,”

Filming on “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries” took place last summer and managed to complete initial filming before the actor’s strike began.  Earlier this year, a single day of additional filming and reshooting some scenes took place to finish up filming since Marvel has a ” sunny outlook” around the show internally.

While we wait for the upcoming “Agatha” series, you can find “WandaVision” on Disney+ now.
