Ming-Na Wen & Jennifer Beals Join “Percy Jackson And The Olympians” Season 3 Cast
Production is currently underway on the third season of the Disney+ Original series, “Percy Jackson And The Olympians” in Vancouver, Canada and is based on “The Titan’s Curse,” the third instalment in Rick Riordan’s bestselling Disney Hyperion book series.
Percy Jackson is on a dangerous quest. Outrunning monsters and outwitting gods, he must journey across America to return Zeus’ master bolt and stop an all-out war. With the help of his quest mates Annabeth and Grover, Percy’s journey will lead him closer to the answers he seeks: how to fit into a world where he feels out of place, and find out who he’s destined to be.
Season two of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is based on the second instalment of Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series titled “The Sea of Monsters” by award-winning author Rick Riordan. In the new season, Percy Jackson returns to Camp Half-Blood one year later to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth is changing, he learns he has a cyclops for a brother, Grover has gone missing, and camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos. Percy’s journey to set things right will take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon.
“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn and Daniel Diemer.
Today, Disney has announced that Ming-Na Wen, Jennifer Beals and Hubert Smielecki have been cast as Greek gods in guest roles.
Ming-Na Wen will guest star as Hera, who is the queen of Olympus, and wife to Zeus. She is the goddess of marriage and family so the infidelity of Zeus rankles her. Regal, maternal and no-nonsense, Hera is the only god besides Zeus who has children who are also members on the Olympian council, which gives her leverage in the family politics. Ming-Na has previously starred in “The Book of Boba Fett”, “Mulan” and “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
Jennifer Beals is going to be playing the role of Demeter, who is the goddess of agriculture, the harvest and the cycle of life and death. A respected sister of Zeus, Demeter remembers the war against the Titans very well and will do what she must to prevent the return of her father, Kronos. Jennifer has previously starred in “Flashdance” and “The Book of Boba Fett”.
Hubert Smielecki will play the role of Apollo, who is the dazzling and charismatic god of the sun as well as music, poetry, archery and prophecy. The literal golden boy of Olympus and twin brother to the goddess Artemis, the moon to his sun. Hubert has also previously starred in Netflix’s “Ransom Canyon”.
They join the previously announced guest stars Kate McKinnon, Dafne Keen, Saara Chaudry, Holt McCallany, David Costabile and Jesse L. Martin.

Steinberg, Season 2 of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is executive produced by Steinberg and Dan Shotz alongside Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, The Gotham Group’s Jeremy Bell, D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler and Sarah Watson.
The first two seasons of “Percy Jackson And The Olympians” are available to stream on Disney+, and the third season will arrive on the streaming platform later this year.
