Disney has announced that the upcoming Marvel Studios’ series “Echo” will be arriving on Disney+ a little earlier than initially planned.

“Echo,” spotlights Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), who was introduced in the Disney+ series, “Hawkeye”, as she is pursued by Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) criminal empire. When the journey brings her home, she must confront her own family and legacy.

Originally, all five episodes of “Echo” were going to be released on Disney+ around the world on Wednesday, 10th January 2024, in addition to also being released on Hulu in the United States and Star+ in Latin America.

But today, Disney has revealed that “Echo” will follow this year’s other major releases, “Ahsoka” and “Loki”, and will be released during prime time, six hours earlier at 6 pm PT / 9 pm ET on Tuesday 9th January 2024.

Due to time zones, the show will still be released on Wednesday, 10th January 2024, across Europe, Africa, The Middle East, Asia and the Pacific, but just six hours earlier than the usual Disney+ release time.

“Echo” stars Chaske Spencer (“Wild Indian,” “The English”), Graham Greene (“1883,” “Goliath”), Tantoo Cardinal (“Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Stumptown”), Devery Jacobs (FX’s “Reservation Dogs,” “American Gods”), Zahn McClarnon (“Dark Winds,” FX’s “Reservation Dogs”), Cody Lightning (“Hey, Viktor!” “Four Sheets to the Wind”) and Vincent D’Onofrio (“Hawkeye,” “Godfather of Harlem”).

Episodes of the series are directed by Sydney Freeland (Navajo) and Catriona McKenzie (Gunaikurnai).  “Echo’s” executive producers include Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Victoria Alonso, Richie Palmer, Jason Gavin (Blackfeet), Marion Dayre and Sydney Freeland.  The show’s co-executive producers are Jennifer L. Booth and Amy Rardin.

The shift of the show being released six hours earlier, will no doubt help increase the amount of people checking out the show when it drops and encourage more social media engagement from fans in the America’s being able to enjoy “Echo” all at once.
