Back at Disney’s Investor Day event in late 2020, Marvel Studios revealed a brand new series for Disney+ called “Armor Wars”, which will star Don Cheadle returns as James Rhodes, aka War Machine.

This series is going to be a classic Marvel story about Tony Stark’s worst fear coming true: what happens when his tech falls into the wrong hands?

Since then, we’ve not heard anything more about this series, and nothing was announced about the series at the recent Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

This has led many fans to speculate if this series is still on the schedule, which has led to the series head writer, Yassir Lester taking to Instagram to give fans some good news.

“I promise it is still coming out,”

Marvel Studios has another presentation at the D23 Expo in September, where another eight projects are going to be revealed for the sixth phase of the MCU, so hopefully, we get an update then.

While it might be a while until “Armor Wars” hits Disney+, during the Marvel Studios panel at SDCC, some footage of the upcoming series, “Secret Invasion”, which is coming out in spring 2023, was shown to those in attendance, showing Don Cheadle as War Machine on screen with Nick Fury. And Don Cheadle also had a cameo in the Disney+ series, “The Falcon And The Winter Soldier”.
