Marvel’s “Agatha: Coven Of Chaos” Disney+ Show Renamed And Delayed
One of the many shows currently in production for Disney+ is Marvel Studios, “Agatha: Coven Of Chaos”, which sees Kathryn Hahn returning as the evil witch, Agatha Harkness, who was introduced in the Disney+ series, “WandaVision”.
The new Disney+ series will also star Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Maria Dizzia. Debra Jo Rupp and Emma Caufield are also returning for the roles they played in the “WandaVision” Disney+ series. Other actors returning from “WandaVision” include David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, and Kate Forbes.
Originally, back on 2021’s Disney+ Day, the show was announced to be called “Agatha: House Of Harkness”, but at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, it was renamed “Agatha: Coven Of Chaos”, but now the show has been renamed for a third time, “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries”.
The Darkhold is the Book of the Damned or the Book of Sins, which is ancient and evil. It contains powerful dark magic spells and is considered the most potent record of dark magic. It’s said that anyone who reads it will lose their mind…or their soul. It featured as a major storyline in both the “WandaVision” Disney+ series and “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness”.
Initially, it was announced that this show would arrive on Disney+ in the winter of 2023, into 2024, but while the initial filming is complete, there are reshoots still required, which have been delayed due to the actor’s strike. Now, the series will be released in the early fall of 2024, just in time for the Halloween period.
